Eye Care at SEE HEAR Health

Comprehensive vision care

At SEE HEAR Health, we believe everyone deserves the best possible vision care. That’s why we offer three distinct types of eye exams, designed to suit a variety of needs, lifestyles, and budgets. Whether you’re eligible for an NHS-funded sight test or looking for the most advanced eye health assessment, our experienced optometrists are here to help.

1. Basic NHS-Funded Sight Test

Who is it for?
Available to those who meet NHS eligibility criteria.

What’s included?
The NHS sight test is designed to meet minimum standards for eye health checks. It covers essential vision correction needs and basic eye health assessments, with additional investigations provided only when clinically necessary.

Key features:

  • Free for eligible patients
  • Focuses on vision correction and essential eye health checks
  • Investigations are limited to NHS guidelines

How often can I have a free NHS sight test?

Free NHS sight or eye tests are available every two years. Your ophthalmologist or optometrist may recommend      a free NHS sight test more often than every two years. Find out more here

2. Standard Private Eye Exam

Who is it for?
Ideal for anyone seeking a more personalised and comprehensive eye health assessment.

What’s included?
Our standard private eye exam goes beyond the basics. We use advanced technology and offer a wider range of tests, tailored to your individual needs. This allows for a more in-depth analysis of your eye health and vision.

Key features:

  • Thorough examination, tailored to you
  • Retinal imaging for early detection of eye conditions
  • Dry eye assessments
  • VR visual gaze analysis
  • Visual stress screening
  • Additional diagnostic tools for a deeper look at your eye health

How often should I have an eye exam?

Most adults should have their eyes examined every two years, but consult an eye care professional for        personalised advice. Individuals with risk factors or eye conditions may require annual examinations.

3. Advanced Optometry Exam (Gold Standard)

Who is it for?
Perfect for those who want the most detailed insight into their eye health, or have specific concerns or complex needs.

What’s included?
Our Advanced Optometry exam is the most comprehensive assessment we offer. You’ll benefit from cutting-edge investigative techniques and technology not available through the NHS.

Key features:

  • 3D Optical Coherence Tomography (3D OCT) scans for early detection of conditions like macular degeneration and glaucoma
  • High-resolution retinal imaging
  • In-depth dry eye and visual stress assessments
  • VR visual gaze analysis
  • Digital keratometry for corneal health
  • Colourimetry for precision tinting and visual comfort
  • Many more advanced diagnostic options

How often should I have an advanced optometry exam?

Most adults should have an eye exam every two years, but many of our clients prefer to give their eyes extra TLC and schedule annual appointments, particularly those with complex family ocular histories or pathology.
